Interested to know why you wouldn't want LTE?
I want to use the $5 Dodo plan but knowing how they run, they'll use 0.1kb of data and then charge me an extra $10 because they're doing me a "favour" by adding a data package.
You can disable mobile data completely on any Android phone.
Have data turned off. Very simple to do.
Note, more and more areas are being 4g only, no 3G at all (I found around 6 towns in Qld when travelling around for a month). You need a 4g phone with VoLTE to make and receive voice calls.
