Anyone know of a good drop of champagne between $50 and $100? Pref around the $75 mark.
Looking for something good on its own as a pre-formal drink.
Bottle of Champagne $50-$100

My wife really likes Moet, so the moral is, everyone will have a different opinion.
I like Veuve Clicquot.
As others note, it is really a matter of personal taste.
For around the $75 mark and up, I'd be starting to look for a vintage Champage, such as Lanson Gold Vintage, which is currently selling at Dans for around $75 a bottle in the half dozen for the 1999 vintage - refer http://danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_911000/lanson-gold-vinta…
Good bets are:
veuve clicqout (good)
louis roederer (v.good)
It depends on personal taste but I have never had anyone complain about these. Nice and light but flavoursome so you don't need it with food.
I do not like moet and avoid it.
For a cheaper drop, Chandon (the australian version ) is good~ $20 at Dan Murphy.
