Crypto.com Card Cashback & Exclusions

In light of recent changes to Crypto.com's cashback exclusions and benefits, I was wondering if current card holders have been receiving their cashback stacked on top of gift card purchases (note the "stored value products" exclusion in the link above). There have also been mentions of certain Australian utility companies like gas and electricity providers being excluded from the cashback scheme.

I'm looking for anecdotes from anyone who has had a recent experience with this product as I'm not a cardholder myself.

CDC is also increasing staking requirements by 2.5x on Nov 2nd, which may put downward pressure on the price of CRO.

Giving my money to Crypto.com was one of my worst decisions, ever.

Luckily, I only put in $250 as a stake in early August … which is now worth a sad $138.

On top of everything, I've been waiting since August to get the stupid debit card that got me greedy in the first place. The status remained stuck at Pending for 2 and a half months and only last week moved to "Issued". God only knows when I'll actually receive the thing.

If I could turn back time, I would have Negged & ignored the OzB deal which tried to 'sell' Crypto.com as a great investment & bargain.

    • Same situation. Is the bonus cashbash offer still valid?

    • Customers buying CRO at an ATH was always going to end badly. The good news is that they are now heavily discounted which is good for anyone thinking of getting a bigger bag by averaging down.

    • Hope you held onto it until now

      • People that buy thinking that they'll become rich overnight will always get rekt. They buy high and sell low.

People that hodl from November 2020 to now are popping 🍾.

        • those who put 1000 back then would all be millionaires right now

          • @iNeedMoreMoney: Not really. I put in a measly $800 and now have $5000. Crappy part is that their Exchange staking is still denominated in CRO, not dollars.

    • If I could turn back time

How about if you could turn back time now , knowing that your $250 would be worth a LOT more? :)

    • how are you feeling now in hindsight?

  • I got cashback on Woolies gift cards last week, but I've stopped using it to pay bills because no cashback.

Depending on your stake, I'd personally hold off on staking because you don't know when you'll get your card and I wouldn't want to be staked for no reason in case it drops again. Having said that, if you're thinking about anyway, now that the price is low, it migth be a good time to buy the CRO and hold it for when the cards are available again in a reasonable amount of time. In the end, it's all up to you. Don't put in more than you can afford to lose!

  • I got my card extremely quickly but really only did it to get the monthly cashback from Spotify.
Not sure if anyone else has had the same experience but the cashback is slightly lower than the actual amount charged per month…(anywhere between $0.50-$1). It's a bit annoying but I've tolerated it as I've been getting "almost" free Spotify for about 6 months now.
I'm probably just gonna withdraw all the cash from my card and never look back… not keen on getting my investment to the stage where I get free Netflix too.

    • How long is extremely quickly?

  • I got my virtual card in about 3 days.
Physical one has supposedly been shipped, got notification 2 days ago about that. Not sure when it'll arrive.

    • And just got my physical card today, wow, stunning looking thing, and really heavy, made of metal!
