I am a Sydneysider but hadn’t heard of Kingswood Coffee. Checked out their website, so they roast and sell beans? Couldn’t find any info about it.
Yep, their own roasted blend you can buy. They have a small hole in the wall in World Square that targets office workers nearby. You'll queue for 15-20 mins at peak morning times. Consistently told by everyone it's the best cafe coffee in Sydney bar none.
Sacred Grounds!
Seven seeds if you got deep pockets
Not really. I mean it is premium, but is the price really above and beyond the usual $15ish per 250g for a blend that most can't hold a candle to?
$58 per kilo with free delivery (Melbourne metro) at the moment is doing it for me!
Maker's the most consistent roaster I've found, based in Richmond (Melbourne)
Shame they only like to roast for non-milk/plant coffees.
I don't really like the beans I've tried on OzB, hopefully AIRJO will buck the trend.
I’ve been happy with them personally!
What, no Black Bag Roasters via Aldi :)
May as well include instant coffee and bags of dirt if we're allowing Aldi. I can't understand the craze or maybe I'm too young and my tastebuds haven't gone out yet.
can't understand the craze
It’s decent coffee (subjective of course) for $12-$13/kg. You don’t like it?
There's no Aldi where I live and when I finally flew somewhere that does I was very disappointed. I guess I'm not willing to save a few dollars for mixing dirt with water.
@Clear: Lol… FWIW, coffeesnobs.com.au:
buy them, try them and if they suit your taste, equipment, brewing and making preferences then you have a bargain!
@ShortyX: Living up to their name.
@Clear: you probably got confused and bought some potting mix from their middle isles during a weekly special instead of buying coffee beans
easy mistake to make.
@SBOB: For sure. Not having an Aldi in my state made it confusing when I visited and found snow gear in the produce section.
Campos
Airjo hands down, haven’t tasted a better coffee
Allpress
Does anyone drink jamaican blue mountain here?
Their Suuweet blend is consistently very good
I second MyCuppa.
For really good chocolate, try the Fair trade, organic Colombian Excelso.
For similar flavour but more complexity, give the Monsoon Malabar a go.
The Suweet is a nice sweet easy drinking coffee.
Santosa is similar, with a bit more caramel.
Try them all, I nearly have.
I have tried a lot of coffee from roasters on the east cost and I have to say that MyCuppa is absolutely the best overall.
They offer an amazing range of coffees, so you're sure to find something you like.
Their prices are excellent, particularly for the quality of coffee you're getting. If you can share the shipping cost between friends, this will reduce your cost.
I've had some amazing coffees on their subscription… I fondly remember an exquisite PNG Honey Washed that was like a magical mouth explosion of incredible flavours for everyone that tried it. Sadly it hasn't come back and they don't think they can get it anymore.
MyCuppa is definitely the baseline by which all other roasters are judged.

I also use Campos the most, and Allpress.
I haven't used Industry Beans beans myself, but I have had their coffee and it's really good.
It's not really a roaster, but a convenient way to discover new roasters.
Siboni's is a great little coffee roaster in Sydney's upper north shore, which has a dearth of good coffee roasters.
You know OP isn't a Sydneysider because Kingswood Coffee isn't on the list. Nor is Campos oddly.
