How much is the base game?
So base game from nintendo online is $60, but Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle - Gold Edition is $36 ?
Is gold edition worth it? Is the base game any good?
It's a very good tactics game along the lines of X-COM

Get the gold edition - it is like complete version, has all dlc included
I brought the gold edition when it was on sale before, after completing the main story, I didn't want to play the DLC. I ended up only played a few games on the donkey kong map.
I would say the base game is a decent game but not a game that I would play for hours and hours like breath of the wild, skyrim etc. The main story is enough for me.
However if you have already played the whole story and still cant get enough of the game then the DLC is a good choice to get. but for me, no.
