Just cancel direct debit in a month when the points are in your account
This is a really weird way to look at paying for a service you use but sure

I got offered this but already had direct debit set up once before but cancelled it because it would never work.
Though T&C says you get the bonus reward points only if you never had direct debit set up previously
I checked my Telstra Plus account for the first time ever and they had gifted me 50,000 points months back for signing up direct debit - was shocked.

I have paid my last three bills Manually and waited for email. I have received it today hopefully you will too.
Without email you wonβt receive any points, confirmed with Telstra rep last time.

Telstra considers saving a debit/credit card details (when doing a manual payment) as having setup direct debit, even if you have never setup direct debit before. I got screwed out of 50000 points last time because of that bs.
