Its an irony considering a cheap notebook I bought for $400ish a year or so ago had pro on it

Sorry, but this deal is pretty weak. The RRP for this Surface Pro 7 tier is $1999.
The bundled hardware is almost the most basic versions you can get, and even with the software comes to barely $119 of value:
- $45 for the keyboard and mouse
- $49 for the headset
- $25 for ESET AV
On the other hand, the Surface Pro 7 very frequently has 15% off sales (or better) at various retailers. This would make it $1,699, giving you 300 spare dollars to spend on much nicer equipment.

Better off waiting for a 10% or so off the surface sale to roll around.
They should be targeting more business users instead. Having win 10 home on it is a crutch
