As above, chrissy shopping for the missus, after one from $150 - $250. Sunbeam dont seem to get a good report, maybe Breville as posted here, http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/57551? She would use it about 3 times a week, so want something that will not die in less than 12 months, but dont wanna spend an arm and a leg also!!
Any other bargains out there?

I paid $249, and it came with an ice cream maker bowl attatchment thingy. So yeah, the price was similar :)
Think I have narrowed it down to the Breville BMS410 OR Sunbeam 9200. Reviews on Breville seem good, not too many on the Sunbeam, but it is the top oif the line one for them so I dont think I will be able to get it around $250.
Are you in Sydney??? I was in Breville warehouse today they had heaps $59 was the cheapest with Glass bowl. Then $139,They had a really really good one half price for $199. The 1 in redfern. Sunbeam outlet had there cheapest starting at $99
Nah in Vic, but believe they do have them in Melb also. You dont know what models were what price? Are they brand new or reconditioned units?
The Breville one is awesome, we bought it a few months ago. It mixes very well, doesnt leave bits on the side/bottom of the bowl, its quick, and seems to be very sturdy.
I'd give it a go, for $230 I'd say it's the best you'll get in your price range. I did a fair bit of research before I bought it and this one seemed to come out on top most of the time.
