    Yes, the whole point of the ring is to provide even light on a subject with the camera lens in the centre. It doesn't look like this product can achieve that.

  have a look around shopping malls, they are avaliable in some of the pop up shops (basically few tables with goods), got mine with 24cm ring but no remote control for $30 :)
