What's the most efficient way of collecting bricks? In terms of value - should I wait for the Large Box to go on sale?
Garage sales, sometimes facebook market place but you need to be quick.
If you are not worried about authentic Lego, you can buy bulk "fake" Lego for cheap. Most of it is compatible with Lego as well.
Just be careful to not mix it with your real Lego.
Eh the colours are slightly off if that bothers you I wouldn't worry.
https://www.amazon.com.au/LEGO-Classic-Creative-Fun-11005/dp… is cheaper per piece.
but it doesn't include the box

not sure if it is a decent price
edit: yeah, it was $40 in some previous dealsYou could look at joining a Lego User Group. I heard they get to submit group bulk orders to Lego. The group all decide but they might order like 10,000 grey 2x2 blocks, 2,000 2x4 red bricks etc then divvy them all up. No idea of prices but its got to be cheaper than buying retail sets if you're after just a few styles so the kids can build houses and castles etc.
So how many total bricks it has?
