The Woolworths canola oil is Aussie. Slightly more than $2/L but worth it vs imported ingredients of this one.
Note Aldi canola oil slightly cheaper but from Malaysia.
Just as bad for your health.
I usually get Colesbrand, slightly cheaper than Ww and says Product of Oz..?

Sunflower is the healthiest of all . Sunflower oil is rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which help reduce cholesterol
Not very healthy, high in omega 6 which is inflammatory as are all other vegetable oils. They also convert to transfats when heated causing heart disease. Extra virgin olive oil on the other hand is rich in antioxidants and protects you from free radical damage.
Great as a diesel fuel replacement.
Agree with yorgee, not all vegetable oils are the same.
Here in Australia, Canola oil is pretty good and recommended for general use, being much lower in Omega 6 than Sunflower or Corn oil.
Olive oil the healthiest.
Olive Oil may be the healthiest, but it has a low smoke point. If you're using it for cooking/frying, there's a good chance it will turn to smoke. Great for marinating/drizzling on salads though.
@starbearer: Which is why I think Canola oil is a good recommendation for general use such as frying.
@starbearer: I use rice bran oil to cook my steaks. Is that healthy or is there a better alternative.
I use olive oil to fry eggs and stir fry vegetables. Should I stop using olive oil?
@Homr: Here's a good article which provides the relative benefits and caveats for most common types of edible oils: https://time.com/5342337/best-worst-cooking-oils-for-your-he…
I usually use:
- olive oil for low heat cooking/ dressing
- sunflower/canola for medium or high heat (Depending on which one is on special)
In order to balance the Omega-6, i have a fish oil supplement and nuts which are good sources of omega-3

I've heard many anecdotes of people deepfrying with OO no problem.
Can we deep fry with oilve oil?
@Ch Rs: Not recommended
@andrewsaws: ehwhy
@Ch Rs: Avoid unsaturated fats. Fry in avocado oil (tasteless), clarified butter or beef tallow (if the extra taste goes with the dish).
"Packed in Australia from imported ingredients", "Australian owned." They seem keen to emphasise the Australian connection.
Probably made in China. Pass.
