Not really writing that post to whinge, more to other's perspective and experiences with this situation.
I have ordered a Breville Food Processor as a flybuys reward for collected points. At the time of redemption, it was stated that wait time is up to 4 weeks.
That was 5 weeks ago. When the reward did not arrive last week, I gave flybuys a call, and was advised that they were following up with their internal rewards team, and would be sending me an update email in 2-5 business days. Nothing came through.
Today I gave them another call, and the operator stated he'd get in touch with the supplier while I was on hold, and would give me an update straight away. He did so, and apparently the supplier now advised him they might be getting some stock delivery this week or next, "they are not really sure", and when they do, they will send me my unit, which I should expect in the next 2-3 weeks.
He did suggest I could cancel my redemption, if I felt this was too long of a wait, but I think I am a bit too fixed on the idea of getting this item as a reward now, so I left it be for now.
The only thing that really bothers me, is a complete lack of communication from flybuys about this situation. Has anyone else experienced a situation like that, and if so, how did you guys deal with it?
Sounds like a whinge to me…..
What would I do? Exactly what you have done, apart from this thread.
