What Cheap Cordless Mice (< $30) Work Well with Eneloops?

As per the title, what cheap cordless mice work well with eneloops?

I want to buy some more mice, because family members keep "borrowing" mine. I have tried a few mice, and while they all work when the battery was recently charged, most start indicating "flat battery" within a month.

I have two mice that I know are good, but sadly they are not made anymore (Logitech M215 and Rapoo 1090P). Most reviews of mice don't mention compatibility with rechargeable batteries.

I'm not after a gaming mouse, I just want two buttons and clickable scroll wheel, cordless, and gets good battery life from one AA eneloop. Also, has to be driverless (I believe most non-gaming mice are driverless now), as I will be using it with live-CD Linux distributions.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

    any logitech or MS

that's all you can really trust

  • Cherry

    • Thanks, I didn't know that Cherry made non-gaming mice. However, nobody local (Brisbane) seems to stock it, so adding $10 shipping pushes it very close to my price limit.

The user manual of the MW 2400 "Entry Level" mouse says it works down to 0.9V, so that's excellent for NiMh batteries.

The above is the Cherry that I have been getting for yonks
    I have been giving then away to doctors too, I am on my last one;
I should get another one, I am broke, so 1 will do. You can have the rest :)
At that price, I should raid the piggy bank :p

BTW. They take just 1 AA battery in there, I have an alkaline battery in mine; it was just something lying around
I have heaps of rechargeables as well, but I buy a 12 pack of AA for less that $10 when they are on special at the supermarkets or Bunnings
    I hope that helps

I think that is the lady that I bought the Cherries from b4 :)

      • Thanks, bought. I found an online datasheet saying these ones operate down to 1.0V. Strangely, none of the online info mentions if they have a low-battery indicator, but I found an Amazon review saying they do.

          I bought 4, I used afterPay, so I could buy 4
I reckon they would be perfect to give away as they are cordless and they last a long time; mine has been in use for years

They do have a low battery indicator, I just never see it; it is red on the left side near the thumb
They only take 1 AA size battery, it is not hard to throw a spare one in ya computer bag of things for the laptop that you carry around
