I have the opportunity of a bargain electric trike, except it's been assembled and needs transporting NSW (in the country 200kms west of Sydney) to Melbourne.
Can anybody recommend who I might find to transport it? I feel that couriers might require such a thing to be boxed which is not possible.
Happy to wait until easier travel between States if necessary.

There are heaps of freight sites set up just for this type of thing. uship and Truckit come to mind. You just put your item description in, tell them a pick up and drop off point and people will send you quotes on getting it moved.
I buy lots of motorcycles from interstate and this is how I usually get them shipped. Therer are other sites out there, you can just Google them. Some sites, like LoadShift, are mainly based on commercial and large loads, so you might have to put it out to a few sites to get a quote.
