Instead of you sending your phone, they send you a new one after putting an $700-$800 hold on your credit card. You then send the faulty handset back. Usually costs $39 without AppleCare.
I've been putting up with a faulty home key because I can't find the $39 option and can't take it in for repair….
Hmm I've never heard of that. All I know is that you can make an appointment at an apple store and they'll fix/replace it for free if it's within warranty.
Well I guess you have now.
