How to activate Steam key for DLC of a free to play base game

Hi guys, hope you are well.

I have bought a Humble Bundle which has a Steam key for Idle Champions Celeste's Starter Pack.

How do I redeem this? When I try to redeem it says that I need to activate the base game, however the base game is Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms is free to play and I cannot find a way to "activate" it.

Would be great if you can help advise!

    Install the game and it will be added to your library.

    You don't even have to actually install it. Just click install, activate the Steam client, and cancel.

    It should appear in your library. It just appeared in mine.

    I'd be wary of this game. Free to play, but the complete DLC is about $850.

    I'm sure there will be plenty of in-game micro-transactions as well
