Gaming Mouse with Bluetooth & 2.4GHz

As a lot of people have been, I'm working from home a lot these days and am trying to enhance my work and gaming setup. At the moment I have an old TTe black V2 wired mouse which I swap from computer to computer which is a bit annoying and I'd like to go wireless.
I'm thinking the best option for me is to get a gaming mouse that has both Bluetooth to connect up my work laptop and a 2.4ghz connection for my gaming computer. From what I can see the options are:

Logitech G603
Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed
Corsair Harpoon RGB Wireless
SteelSeries Rival 3 Wireless

Can anyone provide any guidance on these mice (or any others), mainly for playing COD Warzone and the ease of switching computers.

Cheers

As an alternative option you could go with a USB switching hub.

I got one of these https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/572631 back in March and have my wireless keyboard (Corsair K63) and mouse (Logitech G900) receivers hooked up to it along with the base for my wireless headset (Steelseries Siberia 800). Single button push and a couple of seconds to swap between desktop gaming PC and work laptop.

  • The USB switch would be the cheapest way to solve this, and would also allow you to use the same keyboard with the two computers.

But if you're itching to upgrade your gaming mouse and you are planning to use it without the USB switch, I would recommend that you check to make sure there's a dedicated button on the mouse to swap connections between your work/gaming machines. This is available underneath some Logitech productivity mice (Logitech MX series), but I don't know about the wireless gaming mice on your list.

For FPS gaming mice, the sensors are nearly negligible now (they're all that good). You would probably be more concerned with the shape being suitable for you. There's a bit of a push lately for lighter gaming mice lately for FPS.

  • Thanks for the feedback. I definitely want to go wireless anyway so buying a mouse and switcher doesn't really make sense financially. I will look into it a bit more though as it may be a decent option for switching my webcam anyway.
From what I've seen of the mice I've listed they all have a toggle to go between 2.4ghz and Bluetooth, and in my mind that should work if I don't have the bluetooth device paired with my gaming computer. I haven't tried it though so I may end up disappointed.
    Cheers

  • New Steelseries Aerox 3 is dropping next month with both bluetooth and 2.4ghz https://www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/j60s6q/steelseā€¦

  • I bought the Razer Basilisk X a couple months ago.
I have the dongle in the gaming laptop and have switched its use easily between various laptops via Bluetooth (aswell as the gaming laptop). Win10 even has some fast Bluetooth connection that will auto pair with it if you want it. Win10 is easy enough to pair devices via Bluetooth if you want the gaming laptop to use it on Bluetooth at times too.

It has a dedicated switch on the bottom of the mouse to switch off, Bluetooth or 2.4GHz. Takes 1 AA battery (comes in the box) which is supposed to last ages.
It's a pretty light mouse but comfortable enough. I've used it a bit over the last month or so between browsing and gaming.

So it fits your bill of one wireless across multiple PCs. I can't comment on the others.

I'll be using it periodically with the work laptop when I go back to work (from home) in a couple weeks.

It was on sale on Prime day I believe for ~$66 iirc.

  • Deathadder v2 pro wireless has bluetooth too.
