    It is very small. Hard to get out of some USB sockets but that's a tradeoff for being compact

      Think it might be perfect for my Arlo base station for local recording, as once installed you never need to get if off and you don't want a bulky thing plugged at the back of the router-look station.

  Ditto to the heat with these. I have one I used to transfer files back and forth between computers at work (it's very fast BTW) but I never leave it plugged in cause it just gets so hot that the metal parts almost burn.

  I've got one of these and due to the heat I only use it with an extension cable if I care about what it's plugged into
