Gumtree Free eBay Listings (2 Per Month)

While I haven't tried to use this offer yet, Gumtree offer to list 2 items per month for free on ebay, without listing or selling fees.

I thought I would have a look at the terms and conditions today.

In the exclusions, it states:

"The promotion is only valid for Free Insertion and Final Value Fees on the first 5 listings that result in a Qualifying Sale per month during the Promotion Period. Final Value Fees are the selling fees charged on sale of an item, calculated as a percentage of your total sale price. Insertion Fees, depending on how many listings you have already created, as well as optional upgrade fees (such as reserve price, subtitle, etc.) may apply; learn more about seller fees, including the number of Free Insertion Fees per month by viewing our complete fee table".

Anyone want to take a guess on what it means by the first 5 listings? Are they saying that if it is not within the first 5 items sold, then the offer is not honoured?

    It's always been 5 for me. I've been listing 5 free FVF listings on all my accounts since the beginning. If all 5 sell, I don't pay a FVF.

      When you click on the terms and conditions, is the offer titled "eBay and Gumtree Selling Promotion - 2 Free Listings"?

        Says 2 in title, T&C's say five. Someone at ebay got it wrong. It's easy to see if you're going to be charged a FVF. If the listing isn't free, one of the "0 out of 40 per month" free insertion listings will tick up to 1 at the bottom of the selling overview page on a desktop. This happens on my 6th listing.

    Is this offer no longer working, when you post a gumtree ad it has a link to list on ebay but the T&Cs link to an invalid page?

    Just spoke to ebay online chat to get a fee refunded, asked them if anything had changed with the process (I always had to get online chat to credit the fee). They replied with this:

    Yes we were having lots of gumtree promotion issue so there is now a special team to look for the gumtree promotion credit who will keep an eye on the promotion and for the eligible items of the member they will credit the fees within 15- 20 days of sell if they are missed in 15-20 days then member can contact us and we will credit back the fees.

    Merged from Gumtree sell two free items on eBay promotion

    Hey all,
    Recently put up two items for sale through gumtree, onto ebay using the promotion. Does the promotion show up in your eBay selling account? I think i remember it doing that in the past but need confirmation.

    Also has anyone made a sale recently using this promotion?
