With the free expedited international delivery, this is worth it.

It's the best ice cream scoop I have used. The sharp point gets into hard ice cream easily and the edge design allows you to get into corners.

Just make sure you get this model (1191000) - stainless steel. There is a cheaper chrome-plated steel version that will peel, like they all do.

    23 bucks for an ice cream scoop. Ouch! - I run a spoon under hot water and give myself scoops the size of a small child :)

      You'd be creating ice crystals on the scoop of ice cream and inside the tub if you did this.

      It's really bad for ice cream. Better to use a Zeroll which uses special liquid which heats up the scoop from your body temp.

      Hard to know without a back to back test, but the thing about this one for me is the pointed tip. Even if the ice cream is super hard, the point cuts through and gets into the corners.

      Some of the other scoops will be good but it can be more difficult to cut through.

    the overall best is generally considered to be Zeroll - $26.73 @ Amazon - with this OXO being the best budget choice
