Thanks for the posts - appreciate it.

Sanitarium So Good Soy UHT Milk 1l, 97¢

Wow, I'm grabbing a dozen. But is there such a thing as UHT soy milk?

    • +1

Like UHT Milk but it's soy milk.
Taste just like the fresh one IMO.

    • Got a dozen, great deal, but the packet says nothing about UHT. I'm sure UHT can be applied to soy milk also but I didn't think it was necessary hence my surprise in seeing it advertised. I guess the copywriter got a bit "ultra" in the head. :)

  • But no $16 cartons of beer! :)

  • BOYCOTTING after the beer debacle ;)

    but the below is cheap

Old El Paso Standard Dinner Kits 295g-520g, $2.74 (Save $2.74, 50% off)

    • Yeh I bought a few last week when Woolworths had 2 for $8 :(

    • Just buy the shells. Making your own Taco Mix is easy as, and 98% cheaper than seasoning sachets.

      haters gonna hate…

In all seriousness, having two nicely formatted and sorted lists is heaps more convenient than two catalogs (if they ever arrive)

    • +3

Sounds like a job for the Whinging Ombudsman.

    • +4

Great, send me yours then. I don't get them in my letterbox and haven't for months now

    • +2

Mmm, why raise your blood pressure reading this deal? Just learn to ignore it on the front page. There are hundreds of deals of absolutely no interest to me, but I don't get stroppy seeing them in the front page.

    • HAPPY TO SEE 35 LISTINGS THIS WEEK RATHER THAN 20!!

    • +1

There is a "no junk mail" sign on the letterbox where I live as most the people in the house prefer it that way. Personally I like viewing these bargains here on Ozbargain. It is quicker than looking through the catalogue on their website.

Jelko I reckon you are missing the fundamental point of Ozbargain!

consider those who don't get catalogs in their mail box and have to scrap every penny to support a family. Thanks to the Op who has summarised these specials for us everyweek.

Shapes Roadies Half Price!!! They are my favourite biscuit

    • +1

Yeah I had been holding back on Roadies, waiting like a cheapskate ozbargainer for them to run a 50% discount… and finally snapped one up today - salty as fuck, but that's exactly how I like my biscuits :D Definitely will try again

  • +4

thank you for your brilliant work every week OP =)

  • Some decent specials to spend my $15 beergate credit on :)

Guess I wil be stocking up on Monster then…. Already grabbed 20 cans of Monster Import which was on a small special at Coles today 2 for $5… I do prefer import, but can't really say no at the above price for normal Monster…

    Mmmm addiction!!! :)

  • Cool. Milo 72 cents per 100g, time to stock up

  • Looks like Coles got the best discount.
    Appriciate your work!

  • Love these updates….really feels like I am the only one who goes around the supermarket picking off all the specials - most people seem to just pile in whatever without a price care in the world!

    • Hmm, that would be an interesting experiment. Only buy specials and nothing else, and see if you could live off just those grocery items each week….

      • Actually I used to do something like that last year and found it surprisingly easy to do - although it wasn't so much living off specials per week each week, but stocking up on non-perishables when cheap until the next discount. UHT milk, pasta, canned beans/tomatoes…

In fact even now 80% of my supermarket purchases are specials/reduced-price things. Treats always are.

  • "Resistance is futile for the Borg pie" love that line. Another Trekkie fan I'm guessing.
