Ashampoo Burning Studio 10 on Sale for US $11.11

31

Personally I'm not a fan of Ashampoo software but I note that the Ashampoo Burning Studio 10 is on sale for 11 days (beginning 11/11/11) at US$11.11 (down from US$50). It handles all of the burning functionality you'll ever need including DVD authoring and support for Blu-ray.

Looking back in OzBargain it seems Ashampoo has regular sales, or, more to the point, do they ever sell anything at full price? As I said, I'm not of fan of the company and I don't use the software but I figured some readers may be interested (particularly since lifehacker.com.au gave it a mention today).

    • Unfortunately I have no idea of the difference between them as I've been unable to find a feature comparison table on their site.

My thoughts are that if that version does everything you need then there's no point buying the other one.

I used bought their movie converter a month or so back when it was on special, its total rubbish - with free alternatives doing a much better job.
when you buy something from them they also add you to their spam list. to "unsubscribe" from this list you have to create an account with them then update your mailing preferences.
Sending a request to unsubscribe will simply get this response.
I would strongly recommending shelling out a bit extra and getting Nero burning rom

    • i've not received any spam from them, then again, i've only ever used their freeware…

  • "I would strongly recommending shelling out a bit extra and getting Nero burning rom"

I was actually looking for alternatives to Nero… I have an old version (8 i think) and i didn't want to pay close to $80-90 to upgrade…

I found ashampoo works just as well as nero for just burning cds and dvds… haven't tried any editing tools though, i prefer to use other packages for that…
