I tend to check Ozbargain quite frequently, and I will always click on "New Deals" and then check deals in reverse chronological order.
I have found that a few deals don't show up when I browse the website in this way.
For example, when I look under "New Deals" I cannot find this deal:
Prime $10 Promo Credit with Purchase of $100 Amazon Gift Card
Is there a specific reason this is happening, e.g. something in my site settings ?
I couldn’t find it at first but it is there for me - at the bottom of page 9. It’s in between a bunch of other prime posts so it was hard to find.
Yes, I can see it now too … … but I'm pretty sure it wasn't there before.
And I was logged-in the whole time, so it couldn't have lag for non-logged-in users.
Is there any other trick to see all the new deals, including the "lagging" ones ?
The popular ones do show up under Top Deals, but I'm worried I may miss some really good (but less popular) deals because of these lags.
If you are using different pages (as opposed to consistent scrolling), and you are going in reverse chronological order there’s always the potential that it went from one page to the next as you’re going backwards…
I have noticed the same where deals pop-up out of order. I've been assuming that those deals were under some sort of review or moderation before showing on the new deals page.
I know this post is old, but it's still happening, and probably even worse now. I've noticed a bunch of deals that I've somehow missed out on, even though I always remain logged in and check the new deal page quite regularly. And lately I've posted a couple of deals that haven't shown up in the new deals page until at least a few hours after.. And by that stage, it appears on page 2 or 3. It seems that the only way people can see certain deals is if they view the "Live" page now. Is this a bug that can be fixed?
Ah I see. It was unchecked and said default 3
I assume you are logged in.
In my experience there is a delay for non logged in viewers.
