Is there a massive difference in the wattages? I assume if you're trying to blend a rock the 1200W will be the best, but if you're blending a strawberry the 600W is fine?

I've got the 900w and it's brilliant, highly rated by Choice as well.
They take the piss with how they define a "piece" though - apparently the instruction manual counts.
Yeah reviews say the 5 piece ones are the machine 1 cup 1 lid and some paper menus etc.
