Hi
I’m looking for a high quality hedge trimmer for clean sharp cuts. I think sthil and husqvarna are considered good quality but can’t seem to find any deals for these.
If you can help get me a deal that would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve got probably about 50m of hedges. Yes would consider battery if it doesn’t compromise hedging ability.
Fair enough - I picked up a Ryobi not too long ago. Not disappointed + 6 year warranty.
Just buy the orange one.
Either one would be fine I have used both over the years and had no trouble with both brands they have parts readily available if something goes wrong which hopefully won’t .
Do any decent sales come up?
Don’t get battery operated if you want power.
Agree. Get petrol powered and only use at 8am on a Sunday morning.
I thought the modem batteries had enough umphh nowadays?
My experience with batteries says don’t get petrol. Smelly, noisy and requires servicing.
It's easy to get Husqvarna parts online, much harder to get Stihl.
Have this Makita one and would recommend it, the handle pivots 90º which is quite handy for doing the sides

Thanks. What branch thickness will it go through?
21mm
I have a petrol hedger at work. I bring my 18v hedger in from home every couple of months.
How big is the yard? Have you considered battery?
