Hey there!
I was planning on getting a moto phone soon and found these two beauties but I can't seem to find the difference between them. I'll link the GSMArena comparison i've looked at. Am I missing something or are they almost identical? Is there any reason for me to pick the G power over the G8 power because the former is more expensive.

Also I was planning on getting these on amazon, I'll link what I'm looking at but one mentions "GSM Unlocked ONLY" I did some searching and would you all think this is workable with Optus?

A bit more digging you'll find:
According to GSM Arena, the two units have completely different radio modules, different camera configuration, and slightly different size.
The G Power has a relatively better radio module that supports:
2.4Ghz and 5Ghz WiFi (G8 only 2.4Ghz)
GSM, CDMA, EVDO, HSPA, and LTE bands (G8 doesn't support CDMA or EVDO)
LTE bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 29, 30, 38, 39, 40, 41, 66, 71 (G8 lacks bands 13, 14, 17, 25, 29, 30, 66, 71, but has band 28)
The G8 Power has an extra 8Mpix camera with 2x optical zoom on the back for telephoto shots.
G8 comes in two colors instead of one.
The G Power is 3.9mm taller, so cases won't fit between them, and there are a LOT of G8 accessories compared to the G.
The G8 Power charger or system (they don't clarify) supports 15w while the G Power only supports 10w for a slower charging experience.
