Good price for the best performance you'll see on AMD systems. I just bought the Trident Z Neo 3600/CL16 for $270 as I wanted a bit of bling to make it go even fasterer but these sticks are money well spent.

  • good pick up thank you!

white ones are temp sold out in 3600MT

  • Are these Micron E die?

    • +4

Yep. As far as I'm aware, all the Crucial Ballistix 3200MHz and 3600MHz CL16 kits are E-Die.
      I picked up a 2x8GB 3600MHz CL16 kit a few weeks ago and it's E-Die

      • +2

        Do we want e-die?

        • Yeah they are widely regarded as great value for overclocking with tight timings

          • +1

@bopter12: Micron Rev E don't care about frequency very much at all, it basically run almost any frequency you want it to run(with the right voltage), even if it's a pair of value RAM with no heatsink.

            But tight timings? nononono

It have tight-ish tCL, but really loose tRCD, and tRFC. You won't get the latency low when you have tRCD/tRFC high.

            a RevE that's not special binned timing be like: 3600 c16-21-12-36-580 (tCL-tRCD-tRP-tRAS-tRFC),

a RevE from ballistix (special binned) run like 3600 14-18-12-36-560,

a binned Samsung B Die run more like 3600c14-15-12-28-280

        • It's pretty good (overclocking wise if you're into that), but my understanding is it's not quite as good as Samsung B die. That being said its price/performance ratio is good and this is Ozb.

          • @aussie222: B die will clock tighter but Rev E will clock higher. I have 2x8gb Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (lowest in the Ballistix range) 3000 CL15 that boots into Windows @ 4733Mhz. Bdie can't do that.

            • @bex000: 4733! That's crazy, what voltage are you running?

              • +2

@aussie222: 1.68v but not stable or daily clock

              • +1

@aussie222: Daily clock is 3600cl16 1.35v, memtest stable

          • @aussie222: It doesn't do as tight timings as B-die but it's much easier to push high frequencies on it, at least on Ryzen.

    • I've seen 16Gb Rev. B in these kits which have similar OC'ing characteristics to 8Gb Rev. E (Micron "E-die"). I've also seen someone get 8Gb Rev. E in this kit recently. Either way, they both have high OC potential so you'll be fine no matter what you get.

  • Bought the white ones for my future system build, They are temp out of stock but i'm in no rush for them. Thanks Op

  • Thanks. Cancelled my black order from last week as these are in stock. Hopefully the cancellation goes through.

  • Thanks for this! Ordered.

  • +1

Thanks OP been waiting on a 32gb 3600.

  • Your a legend OP

  • anyone have these on ryzen 3 how far can you push these? thanks

    • U really wouldn't want to push them on a ryzen 3 system. 3600MHz CL16 is the performance sweetspot (techically 3733Mhz) You could push them to 3733 but I wouldnt go higher due to the infinity fabric.

      • sry i meant tighter timings eg cl15

i have rgb pro corsair 3200 cl16 atm and not sure if i should bother upgrading to this for new zen 3 cpu…

    • Ryzen 3000 (Zen 2) or Zen 3 (Ryzen 5000)?

On Ryzen 3000, you'll want to run as high as your Infinity Fabric will go (1900MHz / DDR4-3800 if you get lucky).

As for Ryzen 5000, it's not out yet so who knows.

  • Bought the black version of this RAM back on September 18. The RAM has been sitting in Australia Post Global's UK warehouse "processing" since September 23…

Order if you're not in a hurry to receive the RAM!

    • this is a scary thought
      humm

    • +1

I placed an order on the 17th, shipped the same day and got delivered here in Sydney on the 25th of September.
When I placed the order Amazon said expected delivery between Sept 25th and Oct 4th.

      • That's what mine said too! Then after the order was placed the ETA got pushed back to October 15. So I will hopefully have it this week or else it's time to try get in contact with Amazon and AusPost.

  • WTH, the price just spiked to $364.50 + $8.88 delivery!!! damn it, I just missed out!

    • Make sure you change the seller to Amazon UK

    • The white version is still $226 - and change the seller to Amazon UK

      • Phew! Thanks, I forgot you could change who you buy it from on Amazon.

  • Already got 32 gb 3600 now me wondering if i need another 2 x 32gb to go up to 64gb…

  • +1

    Don’t need 32gb , 16 will do.

    • If gaming usually only needs up to 16gb, wouldn't money be better spent going for faster RAM instead like CL14 for better perdormance?

    • +1

Thanks for telling me what I need

      • Some ones gota do it….

I went from 16 to 32 hardly ever push it as a dev runing everything. Most ram consumed by over 100 tabs in chrome that I should be closing. When u reach that much ram it’s supper slow regardless swapping. If ur runing 20 vms sure go ur hardest.

    • Only need like 4gb to run windows. Who needs any more?

Just go 64, future proofing is nice :)

  • I ordered 2 x 16GB kits of this for my Ryzen build, mainly because CL16 sticks are rare here in Oz it seems.

I was tempted by the cheaper Patriot RAM available from an AU seller on Amazon, but could find sweet *&#$ all in the way of reviews etc.

Anyway, got my 32GB for ~$221. Some reports say running 4 sticks gives better results, so maybe that was a win for me …

    • Generally 2 x16 would give better performance due to being access the address withing the one unit than transferring across 2 stick.

      • Well … there are a couple of Youtube videos that theorise that having 4 x 8GB single rank chips, will actually show as double rank to the system. I saw a clip by JayzTwoCents doing some benchmarking, and the 4x8GB gave marginally better FPS … not that I'm a gamer.

When all is said and done, though, I think the performance gains, or losses, would be negligible.

  • Want to build a new pc but not in a rush to do so. Will it be worth waiting or will it not drop in price more?

    • Let me check my crystal ball.

    • +1

Memory prices are expected to continue to fall into 2021, but no one can say with any certainty.

  • Wouldn't it be worth going for CL14?

    • +1

      With a voltage bump (1.40-1.45v) you'll be able to run 3600 CL14.

      • With a voltage bump (1.40-1.45v) you'll be able to run 3600 CL14.

Are you referring to the 2 x 16GB kit of this Crucial 3600Mhz RAM that you can get CL14 with that voltage bump?

Also, I may as well ask, I want to get 64GB of RAM and was wondering what you think would be better between these :

        two kits of this 2 x 16GB 3600Mhz https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B083TRXZ9N/ref=emc_b_5_i?th=1
        or a single kit of 2 x 32GB 3200Mhz https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B083TRRT1N/ref=emc_b_5_i?th=1

I plan to use it with a Zen 2 3900XT for now, and then maybe later use it with a Zen 3 CPU (do you think it would be suitable for Zen 3?). MB will be either an Asus C8H or Gigabyte Aorus Master X570.

        • Are you referring to the 2 x 16GB kit of this Crucial 3600Mhz RAM that you can get CL14 with that voltage bump?

          Yep

MB will be either an Asus C8H or Gigabyte Aorus Master X570

Both mobos use a daisy chain memory topology which prefer 2 sticks, so I would lean towards the 2x32GB kit. The 2x16GB kit could be either dual rank 8Gb Rev. E or single rank 16Gb Rev. B, which are very similar in terms of OC potential. The 2x32GB kit is probably dual rank 16Gb Rev. B.
