[Solved] Installing Free Epic Games Game Question

Hi everyone, I purchased Pikuniku for free just now from this deal:

I just wanted to know how to go about the next step.

I will be upgrading from an HDD to an SSD in the near future, and at that time I will be doing a complete fresh install of Windows 10.

So my question is, should I hold off installing ?

I am worried that Epic Games will only let me install the “free” purchase once on one computer, and then if I try to install it again after a fresh W10 install and SSD it might think it is a different computer and block the install.

I found the “transactions” area in Epic Games website it shows I have the Pikuniku game on my account. So does it mean I can install unlimited times on as many computers as I would like?

Thanks for reading.

As far as i know the games you get free are added to your library indefinitely meaning you can install and uninstall at your choosing.

you will be able to install it on your new pc no worries at all.

have got epic running on 2 pc's at home, same account, same games on both machines, no issues with games

    • Ok thanks for sharing. That answers it.

You own the games, the only "catch" is that you need the EPIC launcher to play them. It's like Steam, only doesn't rip off indie devs as badly with the 30% Steam Tax. It's not like Valve are providing Windows frameworks and tools and support and stuff like Apple, and EPIC with their Unreal engine.

    • Yes I noticed I needed to install the "Epic Launcher". This was what made me concerned, like they put in a system so you can only install games once (or on one system).
A comment above has shared that they run their games on two different computers fine so I think I have my answer.
