Could it be used for gamers elbow? Pasta makers elbow? Elbowers elbow?

  • My hipbone is connected to my knee elbow.

How is this compared with the heavy resistance theraband flex bar? https://www.empind.com.au/shop/item/theraband-flex-bar

I need physio for my 'tennis elbow' (lateral epicondylitis), so bought the medium and heavy resistance bars. The medium was way too light. Even the heavy resistance bar I twist almost 360° to give it enough force to trigger tendon repair, but once I figured that out my recovery was extremely rapid. My physio advised the same thing - the greater the resistance, the more load on the tendon, the faster it will repair as tendons need a lot of load.

Just do the ole ring out a towel. Worked well for me in a couple of weeks .

The 'wring out a towel' exercise doesn't allow you to load up the tendon with significant pressure throughout the eccentric motion of the wrist. You can only load for concentric muscular contraction, which does two things - firstly, assuming you can target the problem area correctly, you will recover much slower, as muscle and tendon stimulation leading to growth and recovery happens significantly faster during eccentric activity. Secondly, in many cases you may actually be exacerbating the motion that caused the damage in the first place, leading to further strain. I've since spoken to half a dozen friends who have had tennis elbow over the years who were told to wring out a towel to improve it, and found no improvement over months. So I'm glad it worked for you, but there's a lot of science that suggests that it isn't particularly effective.

        • Also used a broomstick and try and turn your wrist inwards / outward. It was part of a series of exercises by some woman on YouTube. I was getting chronic tendinitis from wakeboarding and it helped a lot.

    • That should have said 'needed', not 'need'. An odd omission…

  • enhance foot grip

    Monkey confirmed

  • Is it ribbed that way for her (or his) pleasure?
