Get a pump from a bike store, not those cheap Kmart ones

    Edit - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-NIXEYCLES-High-Pressure-…

I bought this one about 3 years ago (was about $20)

    • How often are you pumping balls? I've had a cheap Kmart one for years and haven't had an issue with it yet - mind you it probably only gets used once or twice a year, so…

As they say - if you need a new tool, buy a cheap one. If you wear it out, buy a better one. If you don't, then you saved yourself the cost of the expensive one/s.

  • The plastic ones all suck. I spent $40 on a Pro Bike Tools mini pump cause getting stranded with a flat tyre and a broken pump is no fun.

There doesn't seem to be much middle ground between Chinese plastic and fancy expensive ones.

    • oh I see.

bump it in the petrol station?

  • This is ozbargain, we should be saving money where we can. A ball pump is a simple device which should not cost lots.

A ball is low in air volume and low in pressure. Buying big pumps is overkill unless you also need it for bikes with 700c x 23 tyres.

I have a $10 Rockbros one from ebay and has lasted years. Just take care of it. Even cheap ones can handle the 'force' required to inflate a football.

    • i do have a pump but it not working properly. took me 1/2 hour to inflate a ball to half inflation

      • you can use a balloon and a needle as a option too

      • What ball are you inflating?

        • basketball.

          • @ilove: I have multiple size 7s. It takes 2 mins from flat. Your needle is either not inserted properly into the air valve or the pump is leaking air

  • Cold air or hot air pump?
