10% off Books @ Boomerang Books

EXTRA10

Boomerang Books have an extra 10% off this weekend using the promo code EXTRA10. Unfortunately it doesn’t stack with the free shipping BOOKO code but managed to save myself about $3 with this code.

Remember to always check Booko to see best prices for books. I’ve found that Boomerang has been competitive and in my experience cheaper than the other book sellers.

Everyone’s experience will differ. The books I needed for my class were cheaper here and checked via Booko too.

@Doowya .. I do the same… I always price check via booko.com.au and save searches with price drop alerts…

I have made several purchases, all best prices, and shipping was quick except for one AusPost stuff-up. Nice people to deal with also… They still have personal customer service… (not a big operation, but they at least try hard).

By the way, I am not associated, however I was once a book store owner for a few years and Boomerang Books ticks all the boxes for me. I can and do recommend them based on my actual experiences.

Thanks got a few. What are books? Got them anyway as they're cheaper than laptop stands.

It’s not worth it. Don’t do it. They don’t send the books. They sell books they don’t have. I ordered 2 and after a month they hadn’t even dispatched them. It was a present for my Dad. I cancelled the order and bought wine from Hardys. It was there in 2 days!

The lady on the phone said they had to wait for the books from the supplier. But one of three they actually had and still didn’t send.
    Just go to a bookshop.

Sorry to hear of your bad experience. I’ve not had any issues with ordering from them over the last 2 years. I did an order which had one on back order and a quick email to them and I was able to get the books that were available delivered separately.

@ bluepop. This has never been my experience. My dealings with Boomerang have been near perfect each time, every time, except once due to an AusPost stuff up.

ALL online bookstores "drop-ship" from either the supplier/distributor/publisher (with some exceptions). The supply chain has been delayed or disrupted somewhat for the last 6 months due to COVID-19 and many releases have been delayed with stock held up on ships at sea. Some of the larger publishers are now air freighting titles to Australia, particularly as this is the peak consumer purchasing time in the book industry leading into Christmas.

By the way, I am not associated, however I was once a book store owner for a few years and Boomerang Books would have been affected by this like most retailers, except maybe Amazon who may ship internally within their organisation. I go back in time to the 90s when I had to do some tricky stuff to get stock that would have been delayed by transport logistics or publishers' intransigence in holding back releases due to local (AU) legislated book industry protections when that same title was readily available overseas.

I get it. But as a consumer why would you wait. You can go to a shop

        • @bluepop a lot of the books I need can’t be sourced locally or are much more expensive. This is OzBargain and we are all here for cheaper alternatives.
