I think this is actually Gen 2 🤔 gen 1 has a silver strip in the middle.

URL mentions silver and the model "S-SUBG1B" indicates it to be GEN 1.
The GEN 3 can be had for less at GG Commercial (for anyone who has access).
Hey OP can confirm that it is Gen 2 as gen 1 never came in white.
If you search sonos sub on jb site you will see that they only show 2 different gens (2 and 3). The white version shows Model: S-SUBG1W. Gen one never came in white, thus both the black and white are gen 2.
Is this version 1 still? Version 3 is the same price in the US.
Of course, I can't really verify any information since Sonos's website is such utter trash
