Bundaberg Ginger Beer 10x375ml $9 ~ $10 @ Woolworths

1500

Bundaberg Ginger Beer. $1 per bottle is pretty good for this stuff.
Diet also available: https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/886838/bun….

The iconic taste of Bundaberg Ginger Beer starts with homegrown Aussie ginger, including ginger from our very own farm. Our Master Brewers then brew over 3 days to our traditional family recipe, the same we've used for 4 generations. Hold a bottle up to the light and you'll see real ginger pieces suspended throughout. Be sure to invert the bottle before opening to enjoy the full refreshing flavour. - Real Aussie Ginger - Brewed over 3 days - Australian family owned - Best enjoyed cold

  • $9 in states without CDS. It starts tomorrow in WA so not sure if they’ll update the price then or keep it at $9 till the special ends.

Cheap compared to amazon. Cmon amazon lol

    • Amazon is $27 for 24

      • +3

        $24.30, subscribe and save.
So only 1.25c more per bottle.

      • +1

        are you serious ? 24 for $27.
        If you buy wollies 20 for 20 $ + 4 x $1 = $24

        • +1

Yes, but to buy from Woolworths I have to get up off my chair. For a $1.25 more I can have it delivered to my door (still have to get off my chair but not walk as far).

          • @Lizard Spock: But you can take advantage of your wish e-gift cards and save even more at woolies.

  • Does anyone know if any of these Bundaberg flavours have no yeast in them, or do they all have yeast?

    • +1

No yeast according to the ingredients on the back of the ginger beer…

You'll need to get your yeast infection on from some other cheap source…

      • +1

Yeast is listed on the label in that link.

        • +2

Shiteballs - you are correct! Trust and hope you didn't order a palette off the back of my inaccurate report.

          Apologies for my poor checking…

Is the diet version any good?

    • +7

      Yes, it is really good.
Because of the fermentation process it still contains some sugar though.
Tastes more gingery than the non-diet version.

      • +2

yeah, i like that it's less cloyingly sweet

    • +10

The original contains an obscene amount of sugar, and the diet version has that artificial taste. I love ginger beer and am conscious of sugar consumption so I do get the diet one every now and then. It is OK aside from the aftertaste. I wish Bundaberg would stop adding so much sugar to their drinks, it is excessive. 15g of sugar per bottle would be plenty to make a nice sharp ginger beer.

      • Any alternative with sharp flavour? Old Jamaica used to be amazing but even they seemed to have changed their recipe (if it says "regular" on the front, it's bad).

        • +1

I'm keen on alternatives too if anyone knows.

          Saxbys are ok.

          • -1

@arcticmonkey: Bundaberg ginger beer tastes weak, sugary and of fake ginger. Saxby's is a deliciously strong ginger flavour with the right amount of sugar to balance the punch from the ginger but without overpowering it.

      • Is it like the Extra aftertaste or the softdrink aftertaste?

        • Softdrink, like stevia / those fake sugar packet things

    • +1

I personally find it tasteless but yes the original one has too much sugar

  • +5

The Diet version is absolute shite. There I said it….

  • +2

I've only had these recently after a long break so its hard to judge but i swear the ginger is more artificial than in the past (3+years ago)

I coulda sworn there was a thicker settling of the ginger 'pulp' back in the day

    • +1

Yep noticed the same recently. Probably just budget cuts instead of raising price of the product.

Such a delicious ginger beer but way way too much sugar.

  • Picked up a pack.

  • Kirks ginger beer cans are $5 for 10. They're 8/10 compared to bundaberg in my opinion. So it comes down to wheather paying nearly twice as much for something that is slightly better is worth it or not.

    • Kirks hurts tbh

      • What do u mean by hurts? What hurts is that you down voted my comment. Just trying to offer a cheaper solution to the ozbargin community that I love and cherish.

        • Hurts my mouth with the acidity and carbonation.

    • Kirk's 'ginger beer' is ginger ale. It's carbonated water with flavour added, Bundaberg is brewed.

Very big difference between the two.

  • Is the Lemon Lime & bitters $10 too?

  • +1

Are these drinks even healthy, I could drink them all, but ahh I can't.

  • Go to Bundaberg…the home of sugar.I swear there's more Dentists there per capita than anywhere in this country.
