        It absolutely is :)

It's for content creators and workstations.

@Jack D Price: Can you game on it? Can you game on it in 8k better than any other card? The answer to both is yes, it is a gaming card just as much if not more than any other card. Is it worth the 10-15% performance increase for most people wanting to game at 4K for the extra $$ , depends your financial situation. Still doesn’t negate the fact that this very well is a “GAMING” card.

The one that crashes because the caps can't get enough power during high workloads?

      • Not 100% sure but isn't that issue only on EVGA cards.

What’s the point of buying 8k tv in au? What source are you planning to use on it? Netflix 8K with NBN 1000?

    • +4

Loll its like nearly word for word the same comment that used to get posted when 4k was released… (minus nbn 1000).. Its for early adopters, they pave the way so rest of us know what we need to look out for in the future..

In saying that i have barely used my 4k at 4k 😅… So touche!

        they pave the way

Their blowing money on a TV, not walking on the moon.

        • +1

No I think they ARE walking on the moon

            @Lps: Grammar fail. 🤦‍♂️

        • paving the way for me not to buy an 8k tv in the future and know what to look out for issue wise?… that's as close as i'll ever get to the moon .. in all it's 8k glory!

      • Most 4K content on YouTube looks like shite anyway. It will just be 8K looking shite instead!

Waiting for 77 Oled to reach the 6k mark

    • Already has been lol

75%+ of the NBN can’t keep up with this. What on earth would be the point?

    • Jensen can explain… Upscaled 8K (from 1440p) my friend! Imagine the glory!!

    • +1

75%+ of the NBN can’t keep up with this.

Some people actually download things instead of using shitty streaming services.

      • The size of a 8K video will be over 50GB. That’s over a day for most NBN users. So want to watch an 8K movie in high quality. Wait a day. Bugger that. On 1Gbps hell yeah.

        • What's wrong with a day? Lots of people leave their media server running 24/7.

          • @PainToad: Sure lots do. But most stream. So it’s kinda useless for another 2-3 years. And if you’re on FTTN in 3 years time getting 25-50Mbps then probably useless forever.

My point is 75% of Australians in 3-5 years time might still need to wait a day to watch this kind of content. And might never be able to stream it.

    • I have a 890mb NBN connection.

  • Does it have HDMI 2.1?

    • yes, 4 of them

I think 5k in the bank will look more amazing than this.

    • But this is 8k, even nicer on the Mince Pies in da Bank.

    • The people buying this would have more than 5k in their bank….

  • +1

If you're going to spend $5k on a TV, ask yourself if you want it to show you advertising in the user interface:
