Great price compared to the locally sold Duo Nova and Duo SV. No doubt it comes with a UK plug, but that can be easily replace with either a new power adapter or better yet replacing the whole cable which is your normal PC/kettle type.

Some of the new features that i like are: The integrated handle makes it easier to remov e the inner pot, bigger screen, more cooking options as well as being more customisable.

  • How does the warranty work for us folks here? Do we go through amazon au or UK ?

    • You would contact amazon au.

      • Not for warranty - that only works for the 30 day return. Warranty will need to be handled by amazon uk.

  • Great price. If my current Instapot wasn't still working perfectly I'd buy it. :)

(I wonder if they fixed the slow cooking problem?)

    • What's the slow cooking problem?

    • It has a 1200w heating element so assume it should heat up the pot faster, which should reduce the pressure cooking time once its all pressurised.

If they sell the 8L version id replace my current one without thinking 🙃

@BlitzR: Or just pay for a month of Prime rather than pay $100 shipping lol.

            • +1

@coxymla: Yeah lol. Some people just choose to do things the hard way

  • Does anyone know how this performs compared to the Duo version

  • this is a must have kitchen appliance imho :D

  • Costco is currently selling the Instant Pot Duo SV for $160 in-store and online (incl delivery)

    • this model has more features like Bake function, 1200W vs 1000W heating element, integrated handle makes it easier to remove the inner pot, bigger screen with progress display, more cooking options (10in1 vs 9in1) as well as being more customisable. Well worth the extra cost IMO.

bought one, been eye-ing on the duo nova. I hope prime day won't punish me for pulling the trigger too early.

Waiting for the Instant Pot Air Fryer version to be available in Australia https://www.amazon.com/Instant-Pot-Lid-Roast-Fryer/dp/B07VF7…

  • Tossing up between this and the ninja purely for airfrying after pressure cooking

    • This will have more functionality with attachments available

      • Doesn't look like the airfryer lid is available for aus though :(

        • Yet, but for multi-cooking i think it has more functions

        • why cant you buy the air fryer lid from amazon US? I know it has to be a 6quart to use the lid. I have an 8 quart so can't buy the lid but I am ok with that I already have an air fryer.

          • @tete: if the lid is from amazon US, It will most likely be 110/120V, so you will a transformer to use it. So the cosr of a lid plus the transformer makes it not worth the effort

  • Does this need a transformer?

    • no

  • What is the difference between this and Duo™ Nova?

    • There is like a hundred websites comparing the different models.

        just for laughs.
I hoped that this was 1 of those 100….

    • +1

From what I can gather, the main differences are a flat bottom inner pot (so you can use it on the stove); handles on the inner pot; diffused steam release; sous vide and bake options; larger screen; extra cooking programs. I think the wattage is slightly higher too.

For me the biggest things would be the flat bottom pot for sauteing on the stove and the handles. I think the diffused steam release is a safety feature. The value of the sous vide/bake options really depend on how well they work.

  • Did some research and looks like the cord doesn't detach on the US version, not sure about the UK version.

    • If you scan down a bit lower in the question section it says it is detachable. you will need an adapter for UK to Aus plug.

  • +1

    Its even cheaper now

  • Does any know about the warranty? If any issues then bad luck or does instant pot or amazon covers?

    • I'm interested in that as well in particular if you have to send it back to the UK on your own dime.

  • +1

It took a while but mine was delivered today. Seems to be working ok, so pretty happy with it so far.

    • Was the power cord removable so you can use an Australian one, or did you have to use an adaptor.

  • +2

It's removable. I used the cord from a ronsan pressure cooker, no problem. I just ordered a quickcool tray as well which is suppose to cut the natural release cooling time by up to 70%.

  • ordered one last week, payment in credit card was showing pending for days. today the transaction is gone. no updates on amazon. ran out of stock?

    • +1

Not out of stock but the same thing did happen to me. Just keep an eye on it and it will eventually update. Dhl express handle the
delivery from the UK and it will probably take close to two weeks before it gets despatched.

      • I ordered one just under 2 weeks ago… Order status is ‘deliver date pending’. How long did it take for yours to ship?

    • How long did it take for yours to eventually ship out of interest?

      • shipped out on wednesday. still waiting

  • Now comes up as $201.19 + $106.88 :( - no longer a prime item?

    • Shows up eligible for prime for me. Waiting to see if we get a better price before the end of the year though.
