Hiya
Looking to buy a MB A Class A250 4MATIC 2018+.
I've narrowed down to a couple of cars I like on carsales.
Figured I can come visit someone who works at a MB so they can get the sale if prices are similar or better :)
Cheers

OP wants new car at used price from Ozb
LOL! Good luck to OP then!
PS: At least they didn't refer to it as an AMG 🤣😂
I was looking at used from MB dealerships as would need a tax invoice for business tax write off.. But figured with the price difference between used and new (10k ish).. might as well go for a new. With 5 years warranty and a 2020 plate.
If you're only getting a $10K difference between 2018 used and 2020 new, you're probably not negotiating hard enough on the used cars.
Why did some noob report for affiliate/referral, OP is just chasing a better price ffs
Just turn up to Mercedes Benz Parramatta with a bag of cash and you'll make plenty of friends. Be prepared to mingle with the housewives of Western Sydney and the Beirut housewives of Bankstown.
Also a heap of Asians lets not count out one of the most loyal following.
Don't think any member here would own up to selling base model Euro's for a living.
Haha thanks. Yeah just looking for someone working at MB so we can work out a nice deal 😊
Thinking of getting brand new now. So if there's anyone here, hmu!
This is just an awful decision already but now you're going brand new? Mate…
Why is it an awful decision?
I enjoy a nice car with the latest tech and spend a portion of the week driving from places to places.
Am able to claim deductions and instant tax write off from the business buying a car…
But would really love to hear why it's an awful decision :)
There's a few people here that frown upon anything that isn't a 20 year old Toyota. While they're right in terms of depreciation/service/repair/running costs etc, not everything has to be bargain basement cheap in life, so you do you and enjoy what you like. I didn't buy a sensible car living in CBD either but wanted it for offroading trips.
The only reason I'd say it's an awful decision is not getting the A45. If you're gonna splash out on an A-class, do it properly. It's worth it.
@Hybroid: Hahah that's an additional 45k unfortunately, nearly double my budget!
I wish I could though!
Mate nothing wrong with treating yourself.
You're spending money to make money though if you're doing it for tax write off etc. False economy.
There's nothing a cheap mercedes has that a top of the line Mazda 3 doesn't, and you're paying literally double not to mention ongoing costs. Plus you can have build quality issues (correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the A class is made in germany…).
Honestly I just think they're a crap car. If you're gonna get a Mercedes or bmw get a real one, not the cheap one.
No, I don't (work at MB Sydney).
That was the questions wasn't it?
Presumably, you're looking at used cars since it's 2018+.
If you've narrowed it down to a couple of cars on carsales, those on your shortlist would belong to whoever is selling it on Carsales.
Why would it have to do with anyone who works at MB?
