Did anyone get the email they talk about.. this article is the first I've heard?
They haven't sent email out yet (at least I haven't received any).
It is a very poor form IMO, took them almost 5 days to announce it.
oh F**K.
Does that mean I need to get a new CC then? :|
I thought they weren't supposed to keep our CC details D:
Maybe THATS why I suddenly started getting spam emails for randoms!? I specifically created my email because my old one was compromised and lots of spam got through >=[
Freaking STEAM.
There is no stored credit card information associated with your account. phew
Hope noone else was affected
Well at least they encrypted, salted and hashed the customer information — unlike PSN which basically kept all their customer details in plaintext.
If you want to remove your credit card from being attached to your account, go to settings, click "view account history" top right. Or visit https://store.steampowered.com/account, on the right you can "delete" your mastercard or visa ending in XXXX. You know, just in case the hackers try again ;)
