No harm in trying cashback also via your favorite partners, although the coupons aren't listed so they might not pay out.

Note: I noticed the S2721DGF 2.3 rating via the dell website. A majority of low ratings are due to shipping delays. The initial deal was due to 2 coupons which weren't meant to stack, Dell chose to honour this but it caused shipping delays. Please update and/or leave accurate reviews via the Dell site pertaining to the product quality and your experience using it.

I'll do my best to answer any questions via comments. Enjoy :D

  • What’s Dell’s return policy. How to return the products

    • +2

      Here's a link to their policy. https://www.dell.com/learn/au/en/aulca1/shared-content-mer/h….

From what I understand, they are very good on returns etc. However, I have never gone through their process.

Is your screen faulty? If not, maybe pass it on to someone who missed out? :)

    • "looks good on paper" pretty bad to deal with tbh

  • +2

I have just plugged mine in and i have this weird image where as it looks like the screen is curved and not flat hmmmmmmm

    • That's odd, never experienced this myself, want to share a clear picture with us showing the issue?

      • I took a photo - I can take more too if needed. I'm not sure if it's just me or if it's an issue with the monitor.

Ok so it seems like there may be no issue at all (unless the photo looks like it is curved to you as well). It seems like this is experienced by users of curved monitors when they switch to flat monitors. I've been using a Samsung 27" curved monitor before this one so it makes sense potentially.

I was going to say I don't really notice a curve. Good to hear. Keep us updated when your eyes become normal again haha <3

    • I have the exact same issue! I'll get a picture tomorrow.

        ^^ just found this online

Good luck fam, They finally sent me a replacement but they sent me a refurb (didn't know until i sign the package) :), scratches on the body and 2 dead pixel on monitor
EDIT: forgot to mention. It also didnt came with any cables and 1 screw fell off when installed it

        • Yep, Dell warranty replacements are always refurbished units.

        • Demand a new one. By Australian consumer law, if a product is defective within first 30 days, they have to give you a new one not a refurbished or offer to repair

          • @InternetExplorer: I know right .-. I notified them about the issue within the first week. they didnt replace till 2 months in and long on going emails .-.

            • +1

@sushimaster: A few years back when my ultrasharp died within warranty they sent me a refurbished screen of a lower spec model. Such a nightmare to deal with so know how you feel. Good luck and keep trying. Please let us know if they end up sending a new one.

              • +1

@prodnus: OMG, that was exactly what happened.

They sent me a s2719DGF (TN version with lower refresh rate) without asking me. Got shout at by a rep for telling me that it might be different inside so i should open it and check. After doing that and confirmed that it wasn't the same. I returned that one and was left to deal with the warranty not being on my original monitor.

                FAST FORWARD 60 DAYS LATER…

Yesterday they finally shipped me a monitor but it was refurbished with scratches and screw fall off from unboxing .-. It also didn't came with the required cables.

there are also more bright pixel on this display compare to my original one .-.

bottomline. This has got to be the worst customer support that i have dealt with.

@sushimaster: I'm sorry to hear you had a rough experience. I personally find with any company no matter how good of a reputation you'll run into staff who seemingly don't understand and sympathise with your dilemma, which is probably why you are having a poor experience. I can relate, I actually had an issue with Dell years ago, I felt unheard, but when I spoke to senior staff they understood the value in a good buying experience for customers and promptly resolved my issue and compensated me for the experience. It's what reignited my faith in Dell as a customer focused company and I've only had good experiences with them since.

Pm'd you to try help get this resolved.

        • @liMaa.

          ANy response to this?

  • +1

Received mine today, wasn't expecting it for another month!

  • Any chance we can get a deal on the U3219Q?

    • Apparently not.

I asked the same question on another Dell post and was advised by the rep no deals atm on any of the UltraSharp monitors

  • Can we have a deal like this on Alienware AW2521HF series? I wanna dip into 240hz cuz the upcoming 360hz not gonna be cheap, cheers! :)

  • Hi Guys - i think my monitor might be dead on arrival? Have tried to connect it via display port and attached the AC adapter, but my monitor wont turn on.

    Any thoughts??

    • +1

Resolved this via PM. Redzor forgot you have to press a button to turn things on haha. Glad it's resolved for you bud.

      • +1

i thought the big circle button on the back was the power button.. fml HAHA.

        • +1

          That's gold haha.

    • I was so damn confused until i found the itty bitty power button underneath!

  • anyone interested in purchasing this monitor, ive currently got a 32" samsung, and bought this one, and to have this as my main monitor, im just really not use to it. i think i need minimum 32" monitors now..

I have literally opened and tried, but can work something out if anyone is interested. I am in SA.

It was concerning hearing all these people talk about IPS glow, dead pixels, DOA while waiting for my monitor to arrive. I'm using this monitor as I type. Very good impressions coming from a 1080p 60hz monitor. Was worried about IPS glow, I have it very minimal in the bottom left but honestly it's barely noticeable at all and you can't even tell it's there. I feel like the IPS glow is over exaggerated or maybe I just got lucky. There are no dead pixels.

Have to put the Chrome text a bit larger (page zoom) because the text is so damn small.

Also took me a couple minutes to find the power button and was panicking it was a DOA… lmao.

Overall very happy with this product. Highly recommend.

That's awesome to hear. Mine was the same, top quality. Yeh buttons are on the back. Takes a while to adjust from 1080 to 2k but you get used to it. Now go spend a day watching 2k YouTube demo videos ;)

I realise there are variances between panels and individual environements but has anyone colour calibrated their monitor? What settings are you using?

    • Rtings has now reviewed this monitor and provides their calibration settings if you scroll 3/4 down the page(keep in mind your settings may vary): https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/s2721dgf

      • Thanks. Tried that ICC profile already though and it didnt appear to change anything. Also, personal preference but their brightness setting was too dark for me. I tried some other settings i saw on reddit and didnt look good on my panel. I decided to make adjustments by eye and seem to have got the white looking more white than yellow (at least to me anyway). Tried a few online calibration sites and looks to pass most of the tests.

        • If I may ask - what settings did you use? Mine looks a little yellow/orangish aswell

          • +1

@knight321: Try custom colour with gain R-91 G-90 B-100, Brightness 53 Contrast 75%. It may not look good on yours due to variances in panels. Interested to know if it does look good on yours though.

            • +2

@F-22: 98-93-100 on mine. From what I've read most people don't have to touch the blue, just lower the red and green and you should be good to go.

              • +2

@Yuri Lowell: That's what I found when I was adjusting too, tried on 3 of these monitors and blue was always 100.

  • Argh, just got an update from Dell Support about the replacement of my DOA monitor - ETA is 16th November. Very annoying as the website itself states an estimated delivery time of 10 days. They mentioned the only alternative was to return, receive a refund and buy (without discount) through the website.

    • I decided to try and swap mine over due to black light bleed.
After the horror stories of refurb replacements in this thread I made sure to ask for a new unit and am waiting to hear back on timeframe.

If that's the best they can do for a DOA then it might not be worth the bloody trouble (especially in my case where I'm gambling on better quality control).

  • Just to add to some horror stories.

I never got an order number … never got fixed (despite known issue) … spent some hours in chat and calls and "managed" to cancel the order. Nothing happened. My paypal money is still blocked. Dell has the worst service ever. I decided to go for another brand as my monitor when I ever get my money back.

    • Sorry to hear this. I know you had some uncanny bad luck with your order and I completely understand your frustration.
