[Switch] Untitled Goose Game - $22.50 (25% off. Normally $30) @ Nintendo eShop

1060

It's back on sale… for the second time I can think of. It hardly goes on sale, and at 25% off, its not the best compared to some of the other Switch games. And lets face it, RRP is the new "OMG That's such an awesome deal!" benchmark for anything gaming related on these forums…

InB4: BuT iTz FrEe On XbOx GaMe PaSS… Yeah, well, I have a Switch…

Description;

It's a lovely day in the village, and you are a horrible goose.

Untitled Goose Game is a slapstick-stealth-sandbox, where you are a goose let loose on an unsuspecting village. Make your way around town, from peoples' back gardens to the high street shops to the village green, setting up pranks, stealing hats, honking a lot, and generally ruining everyone’s day.

Featuring:

• A horrible goose (that's you)
• A town full of people just trying to get on with their day
(you hate them)
• A dedicated honk button (!!!)

    ALSO WORTH NOTING
I believe a physical version is launching today, if not very soon, but of more importance to those of us who already own the game, today the game received a free update allowing for full local co-op mode…

    WITH TWO GEESE

      WHATTTTTTT???!?!?!! :D

      Double the destruction and mayhem!!!

      (I really want some more maps/areas/activities though…)

    • +2

Have been waiting for this game to go on sale, feel like it hardly ever does, and on top local co-op has been added, amazing.

    • Sounds pretty good haha :P

      • Or $49 from literally everywhere else.

        • Still over double the cost of digital

    Goose 1: HONK!

    Goose 2: HONK!

      Too soon.

      • "My squadron, we lost eight of eighteen aircraft. Ten men. First one dies, you die too. But there will be others. You can count on that. You gotta let him go. You gotta let him go."

This is such a fun game. Is it a long game? No. Is it fun and wholesome? Yes.

    Made in Melbourne, too.

    • +2

I dunno about the wholesome part… Especially when you bully certain kid and neighbours.

      • +1

Personally I prefer playing this to e.g. a war-based game but your comment is fair and pushing a kid into a phonebooth isn't exactly wholesome!

  • Still waiting for the Duck, small claw otter, beaver DLC.

Note to the company: cute sound creature sells ^_^

Good price, it pretty much never goes on sale

  • Amazon has delayed my physical pre-order copy, wondering if I should cancel and just get digital.

    • Depends. If this is cheaper, go digital. If the physical order comes with something the digital doesn't (pre-order bonus/limited artwork/trinket), go physical.

  • Same price on Epic for PC but it's 50c below the threshold to use the $15 off coupon on.

    • +1

Just wait for the sale to end and snag it for $15 :)

  • Ugh, just paid full price for this yesterday. Is there any way to try claim a refund on the difference?

    RAKE IN THE LAKE!

  • +2

Also 25% off on PlayStation store atm… $22.46. I guess they're pushing the same sale everywhere to coincide with the DLC?

    • +1

      Add to this post???

    • Also 25% off on Steam store - $21.71.

  • Peace was never an option

  • +4

This game was a blast. I must advise if you do play it, try to really exhaust all options if you get stuck before you look up solutions online as the game really is not that long.

    • +1

Thanks, in that case I will wait for a physical copy so I can sell once finished.

  • Put the rake in the lake.

I buy my games using a cost per hour of fun calculation.$22 bucks for a game 2 hours long doesn't cut it. It's got to be in the $2-3 range with a metacritic score over 80. Picked up bulletstorm for 9 bucks today and still playing xenoblade.

      HONK

    • +6

That's a really tragic way of looking at games. It's like you're forcing yourself to play grindy experiences because they're "better value"

  • Reviews are too good.
    Got it
