Alcohol Gift Ideas $75 each thereabouts UPDATE

Hi all,

Thought i would start early for Christmas. 2 Alcohol related presents needed.

Looking for wine and beer for 2 business clients who have put a lot of work through my company.

One is a bit of a wine buff from what i can gather and the other is into weird beer brands that i have never heard of.

So looking for something that would impress but not bleed me dry.

Any ideas?

PS: I am not an Alcohol drinker so i really have no idea.

Thanks.

PS: noticed this arrived last week for the person: https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_796938/bruichladdic…

Anything comparable that may be in similar vane?

  • Give them both beer tokens. Never has an employee ever been unsatisfied with tax free beer tokens.

You can get a carton of mystery craft beers. I got one once thought it was pretty niffty.

Something along the lines of this. Im sure you could get the same for wine.

  • I usually don't like the taste of wines, a connoisseur at a Christmas party ordered this and it was amazing. To the point I went to visit the vineyard in the Hunter. Highly recommend.

    ALDI is great for this!

If you are buying for a wine buff, a good quality Barossa red like this should be well received:

I really like wine and will drink shiraz and cab sav if I have to but they are a bit heavy these days.

I get the biggest buzz from dry riesling and pinot noir.

      • I know what you mean, I too drink those lighter styles more regularly now than the heavier reds.
Pewsey Vale Eden Valley Riesling and Dalrymple Pinot Noir are a couple of my faves.
Don't mind a nice bush vine grenache as well.

I really enjoy when i get a present of beer and the giver has gone to a good bottle shop and bought every odd looking can they can see. It's a lot of fun trying them out.

Wine = similar but you don't get as many.

It's a bit hard to advise without knowing your budget.

With $75 each there are heaps of options.
For the beer person, how about a Australian Craft beer box? Beer Cartel Beer Set

For the wine person, a decent red would go down pretty well. We are lucky in Australia, we get heaps of good quality wine at all price ranges. Torbreck, Chapel Hill, Seppelt, Ulithorne, St.Hallett, Henschke, By Farr, … the list goes on. Or our New Zealand brothers across the ditch make superb Pinot Noir and many others, my personal favourite is the Escarpment Martinborough Pinot Noir, very tasty :-)

    Happy Hunting!

  • Cognac although not beer or wine always seems impressive as gift
