Telstra Offer There's $100 Credit Coming Your Way

Hi, I just received an email which stated in the subject line there's $100 credit coming your way.

we know you had reasons for closing your service with us. So, we'd like to offer you good reason to return - by showing the changes we're making and the advantages of coming back to even better value.

Anyone else that received the same email?

Does not stipulate how I will receive a $100 credit…

  • The last credit for some mobile broadband customers came through as a credit on my account, it wasn't redeemable for cash, so presumably its just an enticement to return

  • +2

I would have thought that Telstra would have been more clear in relation to the offer…

Anyway, Telstra, I'll be back for $100, no worries ha ha ha

  • can we stack this with JBHF offers? like the s20+ etc ?

  • Return to Telstra mobile and get a $100 credit.
Add a new Medium SIM only mobile plan ($65/mth) or higher and get a $100 credit on your bill, on us.

Consumer customers only who have left Telstra mobile in the last 12 months. How to redeem: Select a plan, select 'Add a new service' and sign in with your existing Telstra ID. Eligible customers will see the discount applied in checkout. Credit applied by second bill.

  • I also received that email which didn't specifically state what the offer was, and a few hours later received a second "oops we forgot to include the offer" email. Offering $100 credit off my bill if I take up a $65 month to month 80GB or higher plan before 14 Oct, plus three months BINGE standard .

    I'll pass.

    • I will pass as well.

Sim hopping is still cheaper :-)

Having said that, I went on a road trip up north a few months ago. Would not use any other provider than Telstra when travelling in remote areas. Telstra has the best coverage.

But in metro, sim hopping is still the cheapest option.

      • Just curious about sim hopping, do you mean between different ISP'S or just buying cheap sim cards from the same ISP? I'm thinking about doing that as my contract is finished but notice when trying to activate prepaid there's a box to tick if you say you have less than 5 services. Do they keep track of this?

  • For instance, this month I am using a $5 offer from catchconnect, last month I was with Optus, month before that with Vodafone. Buy it from coles or wollies. Then 4 days before your current sim expires, activate and transfer your number over to Vodafone for instance. Make sure you do not have autorecharge on in your current account. Then do the same thing every month. You cannot buy a sim starter kit for the same provider and use it again month 2.

Good thing is that I usually get heaps of data. Good luck.

    • What if the month almost up and there are no good deals out there?

      • That would be the end of the world :-(

    • Thanks for that, very helpful

    • How much data do you get and what cost overall? Just trying to work out if its worth the aggravation of sim hopping

  • avg $15/month
data using a starter kit avg 35-40 GB /month

I don't use much data due to NBN.

If the supermarkets have good deals, then I usually buy a few $5-$10 sim starter kits.
