LeapFrog Leappad Explorer $139.00

31

I've been checking the price of this item for some time for the cheapest I've seen it in the Australia is about $180. Free shipping too is a bit of a bonus!

Curious if anybody else has seen this cheaper as I'm looking to get them for my two boys for Christmas.

First post, hope I did it right!

  • Can be had from amazon for under $110 shipped. Have one on the way myself.
edit: Keeping in mind your linked also shipped from the US.

    • Hmm I've checked it on Amazon time to time but with Shipping it always worked out around $140, with most suppliers not even offering shipping to OZ. Could you send the one on Amazon were you are getting this excellent price? Thanks in advance!

Is it the pink one? If so that's not the one I'm after.

  • dupe

    • I ordered the pink one : http://www.amazon.com/LeapFrog-LeapPad-Explorer-Learning-Tab…

The green one was the same when i ordered, but it doesnt appear to be available from Amazon export sales anymore :( How do your boys feel about pink? ;D

      ….beaten vvv

I just looked at the small picture and thought it was the Leappad Leapster Explorer, no need to call me a troll though…. Rude

        • perhaps if you revoked your neg people would be a bit nicer.

  • Looks like the green ones are no longer available through Amazon themselves, the pink ones are though:

$99 + around $10 for delivery. I ordered two green ones a few weeks ago.

  • What's on that sucker, Froyo, Gingerbread or Honeycomb? :p

good point, you can get an Optus or Telstra slab for under $100

      not the same…

  • This looks like an iphone for kids lol, if it had free 3g i'd buy two of them

  • "Ships within 24 hours from USA supplier" does this affect warranty?

  • Fishpond don't have the most reliable delivery service (only my experience though).

    • Hmm it's a good questions. I would assume it likes the recent Kogan sale items they introduced at a reduced cost from China suppliers (iphones, ipad, cameras, etc.) As Kogan is an Australian Company trading under an OZ website they have to honer the warranty if they are processing payment.

  • Be nice if Toys R Us price matched this item http://www.toysrus.com.au/leapfrog-leap-pad-explorer-green/w…

    • Good point, does anyone know any retailers that not only price match but offer discounts on the match? Would be pushing it in this case, not only is this an online store but also the item is supplied from the US.

    • I think it's stretching the frendship to expect an Aussie retailer to price match a grey import but stranger things have happened i guess and it don't hurt to ask!

  • After watching some youtube review clips of this device i really want one. The main thing i like is how it advances as the child learns but also how it has multiple accounts, so this can be shared among my kids and i don't need to buy separate units for each kid.

My main hesitation is i don't know whether to buy it from fishpond.com.au and suffer the pain of posting it back to them if i have a warranty issue VS buying it from big w / toys r us for $30 extra.

Back in stock if anyone is still looking

    • WOW! You are champ of the day! I thought Amazon did not deliver these to oz, cheers for heads up :)

  • This is so cheap at Fishpond because they get their stock from the US. It means though that you are not covered by any Australian warranty on the product and fishpond says if there's anything wrong with it you have to send it back to the US manufacturer and they don't cover anything. I had ordered this but then cancelled it when I found out about no warranty. If you buy it in Oz it's covered for 12 months. Same as amazon, you're not covered by any australian warranty
