Does CJ's run on the crappy Vodafone network or Optus?

    • +2

      Vodafone, as per title.
You'd need a 850+900+2100MHz 3G mobile to make the most of their network.

So would an iPhone 4S 32GB work on the 850+900+2100MHz network?

        • -1

          Sure would!

From my experience, the Optus network has been slipping and the Vodafone network gaining. Your experience will vary depending on your region of course. My experience is limited to mostly Canberra.

        • Yes, an iPhone is a quad-band phone so it covers those three 850 + 900 + 2100MHz

        • The Optus reception here in Brisbane for me has been very good, pretty much always in full reception even in buldings, and the 3G is much quicker that my mates Vodafone 3G speed!

Crazy Johns does not benefit from the 850mhz network that Vodafone is rolling out — beware!

        • Source? My belief is that Crazy Johns simply uses MCC-MNC 505-03 (plain Vodafone) nowadays. I could be mistaken though.

May not be a reliable source — I rang up Three customer service (Vodafone now) a month ago and asked if Three had access to the 850mhz network. The rep says 850mhz support is "exclusive to Vodafone only and not to their resellers."

Not 100% sure on this though, better to ring up CJ and see if it's the case.

I don't think so, even Voda reseller like kiss mobile, hello, etc can use 850Mhz.

Isnt Crazy Johns owned by voda now?

Vodaphone I think >.< Would say its better than live connected but it lags the 4 GB that comes with it…

Sounds like a terrible idea. When something inevitably goes wrong, each provider is going to blame the other, leaving the consummer in the lurch.

Vodafail is never a good option. Maybe if they spent less money on advertising…

    • Didn't Vodaphone just finish dealing with overselling access to their services??? :S

  • Edit: misread…

    Does it include international calls?

  • +2

hi ho, hi ho, overloading the network we go

  • The plan is no contract yeh? Cause all of the plans have 'min cost 12 months'

  • I think this is no longer valid. I only get the unlimited option with the $25 sim only plan (not the $15 sim only plan as stated)

  • Looks like CJ has taken the $15 unlimmited pack off from the $15 sim plus plan..

it's only available on $25 sim plus plan now..
