EARLYADOPTER

Launtel early adopter deal is back. Discounted access for 6 months for new sign ups.

Use a referral code to get additional $25 credit.

Plus they offer a free 7 day trial and super rapid churn (it literally took me 20 minutes and I was connected with them)

For those who haven't heard of Launtel, this Tasmanian based company now offers internet to the mainland and is unique in the way that you can change your speed tier in literally minutes. Run at 25/5 during the week and crank up to 100/40 on weekends, for example.

You pay per day instead of per month and you can even pause your connection while you're away from home and not pay a cent while you're not using your connection.

Price varies depending on region so throw your details into their site to check pricing. Code earlyadopter gives you discounted rates for 6 months.

  • I was with Launtel for a while before the Superloop offer for Victorians, from a few months back.

Was considering the latest offer from Tangerine but with only a chatbot and an expected 1-3 day time to port, that's not good enough for work from home.

So I just requested a port back to Launtel just now. Simply a great team at Launtel, top notch support when I had connection issues and helped me troubleshoot my parent's place (had to buy a new router), even better than ABB. Hope it's all done before Monday morning. Vocus is usually the culprit if it has any problems.

Edit: All up and running with Launtel in about 20 minutes. Took another 10 minutes to say "Router Online" in the user portal.

  • I dont want to deal with their customer service. Not worth the tiny discount when customer service is garbage

    • Seriously? Launtel has the best customer service bar none. When I had activation issues, I literally had the CEO of the company assisting me at 10pm.

    • I also suggest joining the "Launtel Users Group" on facebook. Admins and techs from the company reply within moments.

    • What happen?

  • Connected in 3 minutes! Whaattt???
Then they don't even want my money for the first week of 250/50 or whatever I please.
Then it runs out so I log in and recharge the account with real money and I'm like, nah, I'm cheap, I want the 25/5 for $2/day.
And then it's like "here's $25, thx for having more internet".

TL;DR: Instructions unclear: wanted a discount on internet, got paid to have internet instead.

  • And idea how long you have to leave the service to be able to return and be eligible for the earlyadopter pricing again? If such a thing is possible…

  • I am moving to Launtel after trying them out for 2 days. Can't find any difference in speed to ABB. But I like how you can effectively suspend Launtel service if you are travelling. But most importantly they let you have a static IP for a refundable $100 deposit.
The only feature I will miss is to give up the landline number, not that I use it. This is the reason I have resisted moving from ABB to SuperLoop etc. ABB has a feature where you can keep your landline number and have it redirected to your mobile for free. I don't know why other providers don't give this feature. This landline was given to many organisations like banks etc. since last 15 years and I don't know if one day someone will try to contact me on that. But it is a tiny risk I am willing to take.

  • So needing this for my place I’m moving from and will only be using a few days a month, but seems that the referral link isn’t working correctly?

When I go to sign up through it it leaves the referral code blank which I’m guessing is meant to be auto filled with a number?

    • You can still enter the referral code after you sign up.

  • Does this code still work? It says it’s invalid for me

    • Still works but it's auto applied for any new members.
You dont need to enter a code, just referral code for $25 credit after 7 day trial.

  • Anyone know whether you can join them for say a couple of weeks during this early adopter period (or even just during the free trial period) then leave for another telco for a couple of months and then come back - would you still be able to get the discount or do you have to wait a year?

  • It is $2.90 for 100/20 and $3.25 for 100/40 now, that after the code.

    • Yep - same for me. Seems the prices have gone up a tad. Still decent pricing though.

  • Has the code expired ? it says "Sorry, the discount code is invalid. Please make sure it is correct." Was looking for 50mpbs.
