Buy a $50 POK giftcard online for $30. Card received can not be used online.

    the irony ..

    • yes it's ironic, and given e-tailers usually make some money off postage it's even more puzzling, maybe they don't want people comparing prices online when using the card? hello? ever heard of a smartphone?

By forcing people to go to their one store in Sydney, and therefore making the gift card harder to use, I guess they're banking on a higher than usual percentage of people not redeeming it. (Some estimates say that 25-30% of all gift cards are never used as it is.)

  • Limit one per person.

    I prefer Boguns of Sunnyvale

    • What about Ken's of Kensington?

  • Probably should mention postage in title too, which can't be avoided ($5 to Sydney, $5.50 to everywhere else).

    • Essentially a saving of $15 only.

  • Expire 18 months after purchase date

  • Even though you can only buy one per person, If a friend buys one for you then you could use it together right?

  • Oh wow. I worked there, and would not recommend shopping there. And definitely not eating there either. Be advised.

    • lol how come?

    • lol how come?

    • Why would you eat at PoK?

  • $5 postage for a gift card??? This is ridiculous. So essentially you are buying a $50 card not for $30 as advertised but for $35. Just because of this misleading marketing (or rip off postage) I will give it a neg.

    • They send the gift cards by registered post. Registered post is a $3.05 add-on to the standard postage price, so if they send it in a standard DL envelope the cost to them is $3.65 to Australia Post + envelope + processing. They're making a profit off the postage, but it's not a huge one.

  • Even at $35 for $50 its still a good deal for me, got a few weddings coming up and these guys have some good dining sets. Note worth comparing the price to Victoria's Basement to check which one is the cheapest!

  • Thanks for this deal. I just bought 3. Postage is $5 for all 3. Maybe it's just 1 coupon per transaction. So still great for gifts or if you visit POK often.
