PSA: No More Discounted David Jones eGift Cards from 1 October

Better stock up, especially if you were planning to buy during the current Mid Season Sale, or for the new Apple product, as I have a source that states the following:

David Jones has made the decision to remove their Instant eGift Card from all discount and employee benefit platforms.

Looks like it's back to 10% bonus/x points for buying DJs gift cards from the supermarket …

I would be wary of buying them, as you would be treated as an un-secured creditor, and buying them now, unless you were going to use them soonish, may just be a bad idea. If DJ's goes under, they will take your cash to pay off secured creditors first.

Stopping things like discounts is usually a tell-tale that a company is in trouble and trying to plug holes. Loyalty points get downgraded or made redundant and next thing you know, administrators are appointed.

    • Yeah, there was an article in the Sydney Morning Herald this afternoon about DJs' woes

  • Anyone sitting on a pile of gift cards at the moment is taking a big risk (with the exception of Coles/Woolies gift cards).

  • have some DJ cards and have just been waiting on new iphone, with the new delays i'll prob use it on new ipad air instead.

  • thanks i was searching for this

    how to change the wiki?

  • Nib rewards still have them.
