Saw this in my NQR catalogue. Not sure if VIC only? Hopefully those interstate can let me know.

I don't mind certain food items (like white sugar) being at or past use by/best before date, but not perishables like coffee. Not saying that this is necessarily the case, but best check the roasting date on these before purchasing

    Yep, after a short time the oils degrade and go rancid (Even in a sealed bag) so lose their freshness
