[iOS] Free Discounts App - Instantly Calculate Shopping List Total, Discount Amount and Percentage

Hello,

I have just released my first iPhone app, Discounts in the App Store.

The app calculates the total cost of a list of items. You can also apply a specific discount (fixed or a percentage) to each item.

It’s handy for catching checkout pricing errors or for finding the total after applying various discounts.

    First impression is - it is kinda cumbersome to punch the prices into the app, then compare it at the checkout. For me, I rather use the same amount of time and check the price for individual items on the receipt… and if it is not as discounted, sort it out at the counter. That's what I would do at a retail store for example when I am getting less than a dozen items. If i am getting more than a dozen stuff like in grocery, i don't think that's good use of my time?

    If the end goal is to check the total is right, then from a user perspective I am having to input two numbers per item in order when I could just use a calculator and add up the discounted prices. Knowing the % at time of sale really doesn't give me the benefit? Maybe you could add a 'save list' feature so you could enjoy seeing how much discount you have achieved when you get home?
