Recommendations for Monitor Arm for Xiaomi Ultrawide

I just bought a Xiaomi Ultrawide and want to use a single monitor arm with a desk clamp. I'm looking for a gas arm for adjustability and longevity.

Anyone have experience some different arms they would recommend?

I believe the weight is about 8-9kg and has 100x100 Vesa mounting.

Thank you.

  • I use this one from North Bayou:
    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07496HG96/ref=ppx_yo_d…

The 'New F100A'. I'm using a 43" Ultrawide (bigger than the Xiaomi) which weighs 11kg or so and it works great.

    • Thanks. Have you found that it sags over time?

      • +1

I've had it for probably two or three months now, and no sagging. It's really nicely built.

I had an issue tightening the tension on the very head of the arm (where it connects with the VESA mount) so I can't tilt my screen much - but I think that's an issue with how I installed it, or actually the huge size of my monitor.

For a 34" I think it would be more than fine. Note - it still shifts around fine everywhere else, just that head tilt seems to be an issue.

    • do you need to modify/cut the NB's mounting plate to fit into the xiaomi vesa mount?

  • I have Dell Ultrawide 34" and I have been researching on this for sometime. According to me NB F100A ranks top. It's currently $79 in Amazon and Screenmounts eBay. It handles upto 9kgs and has 100x100 VESA.

    • Thank you, the H80 was the other one that was talked about in the page about the screen but I'm wary of sagging and not being able to adjust it to just the right position.

  • I just bought a Xiaomi Ultrawide too, and the North Bauyou H80 monitor arm works great with it. You can get them for $44 off Amazon, so its a pretty good deal.

    • Great, thank you! Have you found that it sags at all and easy to adjust?

  • Humanscale. I have a couple and they're by far the best I've used. The M8 model IIRC will handle that weight but check that and also what options you want.

    • Have you compared with eh North Bayou or other brands? The Humanscale is significantly more expensive so I'm wondering if it worth the investment? Thanks mate

    • Where did you get your Humanscale M8? Ain't cheap but looking for best price.

      • The first one was through our Dell enterprise account but I don't remember where I bought the second one, it was several years ago.

  • I've used several cheap arms in the past but I couldn't tell you brands but all have been inferior to the Humanscales I use now. Yes they're not cheap but they work perfectly and don't need constant adjustment like some cheap ones. I have a 40" screen on one (the one I'm using now) and an older and heavier Dell 30" with VESA mounted SFF PC on the other. That one is probably over the M8 arm weight limit but it still holds and can be moved around and stay in position.

    • Thanks for the info, I'll keep it in mind. I'd like to buy once and buy right haha

  • sorry to restart a an old thread

    i found a refurb humanscale m2 for like $120

do you guys think it's a better choice than the NB 100A?

only thing is i don't know how old and what condition the humanscale is in
can be anywhere between 3 to 7 years old

    • Hey mate, all good. I have the NB F100A and its doing really well for me. I don't have a point of comparison sorry.

      • Hi Ross, how is the monitor arm one year plus on? I am planning to get one for my Xiaomi curved 34" too. Thanks.

    • FWIW, my newest Humansalce M8 is 5 years old, the other would be 6, maybe 7.
