Don’t import Xiaomi phones into Australia. They are a security concern
I have had a Xiaomi phone for 3 years and it's been awesome..no security concerns. Also bought 2 of the same for my parents who have had great experiences as well.
I bought it from a similar site overseas and have been very happy with the A1. Just upgrading now to the Redmi Note 9 Pro from Toby's deals. In another thread someone mentioned they received their order in 8 days and they are very happy.
My view is that for the price you get these at compared to getting a phone with the same specs here even if I get a lemon at some point I would still be miles in front.

It's a risk I am willing to take for the bargain. I can buy 3 of these sorts of phones for the same specs here of a Samsung for example.

If it were possible to reliably sell them that cheap then someone else would already be doing it. I think you probably will get what you paid for, but you might need to wait, and after a long wait you might be told your order is cancelled.
